UOVO Mobile Phone Screensaver

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Typical behaviour on my part. After just receiving my new phone in the mail, and finding out it had a flash player on it, I whipped off this screensaver, loaded it up through bluetooth, and presto! It’s been saving my screen ever since.

As I do all this, I think Kevin and Gry are discussing the future of UOVO… I’m sure I’m listening intently while I film this.

Totally.

CASE: TELMORE Banners

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

The nice folks at TELMORE asked us to help them invade the Norwegian Mobile market this past month- so we made them some custom banners starring some charicatures of the TUFTE IL team, and a new character- the “Mobilgubban” -who makes his debut.
Apparently the campaign is going strong!

Mobile browser

This entry (my first ever) should have been posted last week, where I was tumbling down the slopes in Ã…re. Knowing that I was probably not going to be online during my vacation I installed an OperaMini-browser. Opera mini is a free browser for Java-enabled phones. This means that you can browse real web-pages and not just crappy wap-pages on oldie cell phones like mine. To avoid a gigantic bill from your phone company, the browser load a compressed version of the webpage. The compression is done on an opera-server.

Ok – this is all kinda cool, but the thing doesn’t suppport flash. And since the screen is so small most pages look really wierd. So it’s not that useful for browsing. But it could be used to access CMS-pages made specifically for this purpose. This way you could manage your content (hiscores, small news, football match scores etc.) even when being far away from your computer.
Anyways I had forgotten my password, so I didn’t post the entry back then, but I could have… It would have been taken forever to type, but I could have…
