CASE: DIGINET / KUA: Professor Nukem
A computer game about predjudices about computer games.

Diginet Øresund and Copenhagen University approached us to help them make an interactive presentation… a glorified quiz, to support their research. We turned around and made them a game that wow’ed the small group of professors that turned out to show their own presentations for the xibit.info site, and we got quite a few compliments about the music in the game as well – served by Mikkel Max Hansen of EPO555.

In the game you are a freedom fighting computer game player, defending yourself against the predjudices put before you in the form of questions. Huge monsters are held at bay until you choose your answer (and thus weapon used to fight the beasts) and then the game begins. It’s a game of wits, in a way.

By having the user play a computer game while participating in the research done about games and those who play them; the whole subject matter is put in an exciting context.
Maybe the users actually get a bit of the kick those who play games regularly feel- and thus find out what it’s like to play- from the inside.
Pretty cool.
